Cambria Martial Arts Academy was established in 1981 by Darcy and
David Regala and they have been teaching martial arts for close to 32 years.
The Regalas each, individually, have over 37 years of training in the martial arts,
corrections, and law enforcement, and our school is founded on the principles of
teaching excellence, personal attention, and a carefully structured program that
goes a lot further than just punching and kicking.
As professional martial arts instructors, the Regalas feel it is their duty not only to
help the students develop self defense skills, but also provide a complete program
for personal development to enhance every students quality of life.
The Regalas are in attendance for every class and they always run the instruction
of the students to monitor proper instruction and complete safety.
Cambria Martial Arts Academy is geared towards family values and any parents
is invited to enjoy our large seating areas on the floor and overlooking the class
from our balcony above, to see for themselves, the level and quality of training
their child is getting anytime they would like, including during belt testing.
We have also incorporated new classes in the fall of 2002 that will allow the
parents to actually take classes with their children to allow not only the child,
and the parent to learn martial arts, but to let them to enjoy and learn together.
David and Darcy Regala both realize each student is different and every person
has different abilities, and they help each student to find themselves as a
martial artist, not by forcing them to change their physique or person, but by
developing their skills around their physical abilities ... and that is what
separates Darcy and David from every other instructor.
The Regalas take the responsibility as role models for younger students seriously,
teaching them the importance of strong character, leadership, morals, hard work,
and good values.
